ABOUT THE LEAGUE

The Shikoku Island League plus is a professional baseball league in Japan dedicated to player development, community connection, and creating opportunities for talent from around the world.

Founded in 2005 as Japan’s first independent professional baseball league, Shikoku Island League plus was born in Shikoku and aims to develop players who aspire to play in NPB and overseas professional leagues including MLB, KBO, CPBL, and LMB. In 2026, the league celebrates its 22nd season.

The league consists of four teams—the Ehime Mandarin Pirates, Kagawa Olive Guyners, Kochi Fighting Dogs, and Tokushima IndigoSocks—and holds approximately 160 official games each year, including a championship. The league also plays exchange games with NPB farm teams, Korean professional teams, corporate teams, and university teams.
